I called this tour “New Amsterdam.” That means we leave behind the canal belt and explore the city’s modern face, shaped by smart urban planning.

We’ll start in the former harbour of Amsterdam, a striking mix of old and new. You’ll see historic warehouses transformed into stylish homes, and the iconic Lloyd Hotel, which has lived many lives: a hotel, a prison, and even an artists’ space.

Then we move to IJburg, Amsterdam’s district built entirely on artificial islands in the IJmeer lake. It is a bold city expansion: modern, spacious, full of water views, and innovative architecture. IJburg’s land only exists from the end of the ‘90s. Nowadays, it is home to thousands of Amsterdammers living on the water, some in modern floating houses!

This tour is your chance to see how Amsterdam reinvents itself, from historic harbours to futuristic neighbourhoods, without losing touch with its roots.
