Sunflowers & patato eaters

The title of this tour brings together two very different worlds in Vincent van Gogh’s art. On one end, The Potato Eaters: the dark, gritty, and raw canvas painted in a small Dutch village where life was hard and art was serious. On the other, Sunflowers: bright, wild, and full of energy, painted in the sunlight of southern France. In between those two paintings lies the story of Vincent van Gogh: a man always searching for meaning, for connection, for beauty, for his place in the world.

During the tour, we’ll walk through that story with its quieter moments, personal letters, and small experiments, a story that led to several masterpieces. You’ll see how his style shifted from brown and grey to bursts of yellow, blue, and violet. And along the way, you might start to understand why his work still moves people, more than a century later.
