The Hague

While Amsterdam is the constitutional capital of the Netherlands, The Hague serves as the administrative capital, housing the government, royal offices, and all the embassies.

Known as the City of Justice and Peace, The Hague is home to the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Court, Europol, Eurojust, and many other international institutions.

As we explore the city, you’ll see how old and new architecture sit side by side: medieval walls next to glass towers, (former) royal palaces next to buzzing cafés.

The Hague is also home to the Mauritshuis, a jewel of a museum filled with masterpieces signed by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Vermeer. And yes, here you’ll find the world-famous Girl with a Pearl Earring.

It’s also where the King works. His working palace, Paleis Noordeinde, is located right in the city centre. If the royal flag is up, the King is in!

So, let’s dive in!
